Funny Money FAQ

What is Funny Money?

Funny Money are funds earned through fundraising with Skate Company. Through our quarterly fundraisers to our arena and special events, we offer many ways to earn money to use for skating expenses!

What can I use Funny Money on?

Funny Money can be used for skating expenses. Examples are:

  • Learn To Skate Classes
  • Ice Show fees, program book ads, apparel, tickets, photos
  • Private Lessons
  • Travel expenses for competitions (lodging and coach fees. Not gas or food)
  • New skates
  • Team expenses

What can’t Funny Money be used for?

  • Other fundraisers (for example: raffle baskets, bake sale items, club blankets, etc)
  • Special Events (for example: admission to our pool party, admission to our mini shows, open skating)
  • Personal expenses. Skating expenses only

How do I use my funds?

You must have funds available to use. You must fill out the Funny Money request form https://forms.gle/6bKHq8sR6Yo6EhBy6

If you have paid for something and need reimbursement (for example, purchasing new skates), you must submit a receipt.

Note- all purchases through SCSC are added onto your Statement of Accounts and will need either paid or earned

What happens if I stop skating or don’t use my funds?

We will hold onto your funds for 1 year. If you are no longer a Skate Company member or in any classes, you can assign your funds to go to another family/skater within that year period. If none are assigned, after 1 year, the funds will go into our scholarship account.

Funds are non-refundable and can not be cashed out.
